In my spare time I’m a cyclist, backcountry skier and all around endurance junkie who enjoys snapping a photo or two along the way. I find that being outdoors pushing my limits allows me to see the world in an entirely different light. The majority of my time I can be found working my deskjob asking myself “why am I sitting here inside instead of being outside exploring?” These pages are a personal scrapbook for me; a place to share my passion for the outdoors as well as the minor adventures I undertake from my home near Portland, ME. Hopefully they’ll inspire you to get outside and take a look around – the world is waiting.

This is one of the best “personal scrapbooks” i’ve seen I love your photos! I’m going to have to spend a while reading some or all of your posts. I’m linking your site on my own blog so I can follow along. I have been to all 8 Arrowhead 135’s I wonder if we have met? Thanks for the sweet pics and some more inspiration. I’m an adventure junkie/addict and will take all I can get
wow, all 8 Arrowhead 135’s! Quite the accomplishment! I only have 2 under my belt, wish i lived closer so I could hit it every year. Thanks for the kind words, looking at your blog it seems like you definitely possess the masochist gene!
Just found this through the link from fat-bike.com. I saw your pics of the Sierras, Salsas and quotes from Ed Abbey. I think we’ll get along fine. Let’s ride together. I’m near Pasadena.
Errin
yes, I’ll have to look you up one of these days. I’ve got some things planned for the Sierra when the snow melts…
Tom – I was very flattered that you shared my blog on fat-bike.com.
Malcolm
Hey Malcolm! Yes, I shared it on my personal Facebook page and one of my friends is invoked with Fatbike.com. next yr I will probably be living in Maine so I’m always looking for places to ride in that area of the world and Newfoundland seems to offer a lot! Enjoy reading about your explorations and look forward to more!
Met your parents in Southern California, they told me about you.
Hopefully it was all of the good stuff 🙂
Tom,
Thanks for following my blog. We are fellow Mainers!
Hi Tom – Yep after many years “away” I’m a Mainer again. I enjoy your blog, a great resource. Thanks
